Leroy M. Howe, CPA - Leroy founded Leroy Howe & Co., P.C. in the 1970s.  He graduated from the University of North Texas.  In addition to serving as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for several years, Leroy was the Controller for a local seed and chemical company in Denton and an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency at Bell Helicopter Co.  Leroy has considerable experience in numerous areas of taxation and tax planning.

Jan Burns Springer, CPA - Jan, a native of Krum Texas, graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas in 1981.  Upon graduation, she went to work for one of the “Big 8” accounting firms in Dallas.  After her time in Dallas, she came back to Denton and worked as the Vice President for a local Denton bank before going to work as the Chief Assistant Auditor for Denton County.  She came to work for Leroy Howe & Co., P.C. in 1992.

Jan has recently served on the board for Denton Animal Support Foundation, Inc. and was a mentor with the Communities in Schools of North Texas.  In addition, she has been the Treasurer for various local organizations including:  Denton County United Way, Denton Boys’ Baseball, Inc. Cross Timbers Girl Scout Council, various PTA boards in Denton, and others.  

Colby A. Springer - Colby is a graduate of Denton High School.  He graduated from University of North Texas in 2011.  Colby worked for Northstar Bank of Texas from 2009 to 2014 until he joined Howe & Springer, P.C.  At Northstar, Colby received numerous honors including being named to the Corporate Culture Team, a two-time recipient of the "Shining Star Award" and was voted Employee of the Month at the Lake Dallas location numerous times.
